Okay, I'll admit it. I've been a little slacking in the adventure-seeking department. That's why this week's post may not seem incredibly extraordinary, and I'm sure many of you guys do this on a regular basis anyway. But I definitely don't, so it made a perfect opportunity to get out of my comfort zone.
If you guessed I'm talking about working out, then you are right. I don't really run even though almost everyone in my family has been doing it lately. I guess it was only a matter of time till it got to me...
But this week I went for it. I ran one of the three-mile trails at our city park for the first time in a long time, and it was actually a lot of fun. I'm by no means an experienced runner at this point, and I only lasted for about a mile without stopping but hey, you've gotta start somewhere right?
I really enjoyed getting to be out in nature though and even though it was a little hot and my skin does not like the sun, it was completely worth it. Check out how beautiful our park is:

I also loved getting to wear my awesome teal sneakers and actually use them as they were intended:

Now that I've realized running is actually not that bad, I'm looking forward to this school semester being over so that I can run more regularly. It really was a neat experience getting to do it at my local park.
So what about you? What's your favorite spot to run? (or hypothetically, if you don't actually run ;)
