Adventuring Week 12: Night of Ministry (and Austin again!)

Yes, this is my third Austin post in six months but I can't help it! I'm pretty much looking for any excuse to go to Austin now, and this one was too good to pass up. Yesterday my sister and I drove out to the beautiful Texas capital once more to attend A Night of Ministry with Kari Jobe and Christine Caine- two of my favorite ladies in ministry! The trip was worth it for that in itself, but of course we decided to make a day of it and spend some time adventuring around Austin once more.

We spent some time in SoCo (the nickname for South Congress street) this time around and found a lot of awesome paint walls to take pictures with! This one was my favorite:

Good old Mister Rogers was also commemorated on one of the walls. Who doesn't love Mr. Rogers? :)

We also found the Hey Cupcake! truck again (it was so delicious the last time we went), and a really cute wall that I think absolutely belongs near a cupcake truck.

One of my favorite spots on this street was the TOMS store because 1) I'm a sucker for anything nonprofit related and 2) it was so adorably decorated and fit right into the Austin landscape. My sister found the perfect shade right outside it too. Isn't she adorable ;)

After our exploring we got some pretty much mandatory In-N-Out and it was so, so good especially because we were super hungry by that point! It makes me hungry to just look at this picture...

We finally headed off to the service, and it was absolutely amazing. Kari started off with some of her worship songs, and it was just as great as her last worship night/concert, which I went to a few months ago.

Probably my favorite thing about the whole evening was that the agenda of the night never overshadowed its purpose. Christine prayed over a lot of people for different needs, and it was amazing to see people be so personally impacted by her prayers.

Kari & Christine definitely make an awesome team, and I'm so glad I got to be part of their ministry night. The long drive was totally worth it ;)
