Most Beautiful Nature in the US (according to me ;)

We're coming up on the time I was in the Smoky Mountains with my family last year, and I'm definitely starting to long for another vacation like that. So today I'm making a list of all the other beautiful nature sites I'd like to visit here in the US.

I've been so fascinated by these places in pictures, though I'm sure they can never do them justice. But for now, they're still nice to look at ;) (disclaimer: these pictures are not mine, the original sources are linked to each photo).

The Grand Canyon

I can't imagine how impressive it must be to get to see this site for yourself. I doubt many other places in the US can make you feel as small as this one surely would. Plus as a bonus, the clouds and their shadows over the canyon always look so lovely in the pictures I've seen! I would love to get to see a sunrise or sunset over the canyon as well.

Yosemite National Park

National Parks are just some of the greatest things in the world, and so far I think Yosemite might be the prettiest one. I absolutely love forests and the sight of miles upon miles of trees. Of course, the lakes they surround are just as impressive. I really can't wait to get to see all that beauty for myself and spend time being fascinated at the amazing landscapes that God created there.

Colorado

Though I've never been there, I'm pretty sure Colorado's got to be the prettiest state (I love Texas, but let's be honest, we can't compete in the scenery department). I would love to spend fall or winter in Colorado. I mean, just look at how beautiful those mountains look covered in snow! I'll admit it, I'm a little jealous of people who call Colorado home. I would love getting that view as a background to my life every day.

Zion National Park

I told you I was a sucker for national parks. This particular one is in Utah (which I think is probably the second most beautiful state after Colorado). Take a look at how gorgeous it is. I absolutely love parks like this because there's always so many different spots to visit within them. But if you don't want to hike all that much, I imagine sitting to this view for a whole day wouldn't exactly get boring.

Niagara Falls

The only thing nearly as impressive as the sight of these falls must be the amazing sound of rushing water that accompanies it. I always end up being so impressed by large bodies of water. They always make me feel so small and powerless, but so in awe of what God can do. Really I'd love to see any large waterfall up close (since the only one I've seen was only a few feet tall!), but Niagara Falls is pretty much the ultimate goal.

So have you been to any of these places? If not, tell me which are on your bucket list!
