Reading...
Mere Christianity by CS Lewis, which is of course an absolute classic. I finally bought this book months ago but really got into it this summer. One of the things that always amazes me about CS Lewis is how relevant his writing is even today. Mere Christianity does such a great job of explaining what we believe in a simple, yet extremely profound way. I can't fully explain how much you need to read this book, so I'll leave you with one of my favorite quotes. "I believe in Christ like I believe in the sun- not because I can see it, but because by it I can see everything else." (ps. I linked the Thriftbooks version if you want to get it because that's how I bought mine and saved a ton!)
Following...
So Worth Loving on Instagram. I started following this lovely company when I bought one of their shirts (which I'm wearing below). I love that their products carry a great message, and their Instagram posts always reflect that. They also feature people wearing their clothes all the time, which is pretty awesome (yes, they did feature me once)! Check them out on Instagram or their online store for more.

Listening to...
Old school Hillsong United. Like all their stuff, this band's recent albums have been amazing. But there's something extra special about worship songs that remind you of where you've been because you can remember exactly when you sung them. So many classic Hillsong United songs do that for me. Like "You'll Come," which I sang for the first time at an amazing summer camp, or "From the Inside Out," which was probably the most overplayed song on my iPod sophomore year. I grew up with so many of these songs, yet they never get old. Listed to this playlist of some of Hillsong's best, so you'll know what I mean.
Loving...
My first issue of Darling Magazine. I've been following Darling on Instagram for awhile and finally ordered my first issue to check it out for myself. This magazine is so different than most women's magazines we're used to. From tips on travel to honest conversations about our tendency to compare ourselves to others, each article inspires me in a different way. Plus, the pictures are absolutely stunning to look at. It probably won't be too long before I subscribe! You can also check out Darling's blog for some awesome articles. This is one of my recent favorites.

Working on...
Actually sticking to a budget for once. I've never really written a budget down before, so I guess that's why I was having such a hard time sticking to the one that just lived in my head! But recently I downloaded a free app called Mint, which tracks your spending and lets you set budgets for the month. It's already helping me be more intentional with my money, which is very important to me. I think the way we spend our resources- such as money and time- should reflect our values rather than simply being a result of our whims or what's "popular."It also goes hand in hand with minimalism, which as you know I've been very inspired by lately.
Dreaming About...
Fall coming soon! Fall is without a doubt my favorite season and I can't even list out all the things I'm looking forward to about it. But here's a few anyway: sweaters, crisp mornings, season premieres, windy afternoons, crunchy piles of leaves, my birthday, pretty much everyone else's birthdays (my whole family was born between August and December), Thanksgiving, and so many other awesome things that aren't around for the summer.
We're still in August though, so I guess I'll get my head out of the clouds for now...
So what about you? What are you loving this August?
