A few days ago my sister invited me to go see Tori Kelly, one of her favorite artists. With the exception of her amazing VMA's performance, I hadn't really heard much of Tori's music. But when I started listening to some of her songs on youtube, it didn't take long for me to realize why she's started to explode on the music scene.
The thing about Tori Kelly is that this girl can sing, and I mean really sing. She has an amazing voice, that's just as good- if not better- to listen to live. But her song lyrics are also incredibly refreshing. They speak about being true to yourself and not giving in to the pressures of fame and Hollywood. And of course, she's also got the occassional love song- which always sound amazing.
My sister and I waited in line for over an hour to get into the concert- but it was worth it. The fact that the weather was nice and breezy also helped :)

Even though there were thousands of people in the crowded warehouse (and many of them were taller than both of us...), we were pretty close to the stage and best of all, the sound was amazing.

A lot can be said for a performer who doesn't need a bunch of stage theatrics and back up dancers. Tori can put on an amazing, unforgettable show with just her voice.

We had such an awesome time seeing her in concert, and I would definitely recommend going out to one of her shows. It was so worth the crowded room and lack of air conditioning.

Here's a link to her youtube page if you want to check out some of her music! My personal favorites are Dear No One, Funny, and Unbreakable Smile.
