I'm so excited to finally post about this! Life (and nanowrimo) has pushed my blogging to the side a bit, but I'm ready to get back into the swing of things. Today I wanted to share about an awesome young adult retreat I got to go on at the end of October. I signed up for this retreat the day I heard about it because I love camp environments. There's something so special about getting away from our regular life to focus on Jesus and be among beautiful nature like this:

Stunning, isn't it?
There was also a lot of community building that took place during this retreat. We had a lot of fun (anyone who thinks Christians don't have fun would have stopped talking the minute they stepped into our Homecoming-themed after party) and even got a little competitive in some team games. My team actually won which was totally unexpected but a neat surprise to end the retreat with.

Fun fact: We were split into teams named after famous high schools and ours was Odessa from the show Friday Night Lights. No wonder we won, right? ;)

One of the crazy on-stage competitions: blindly eating a bowl of cereal that someone else feeds you. Crazy games like these always remind me of high school summer camps!

Being silly with some new friends. :)
Other than all the fun stuff, I really loved this retreat because I got something very personal out of it. I may share more on it later, but basically God reminded me of the fullness found in Jesus and how absolutely everything I could ever need is found in Him. That's something that we hear a lot and tend to think we understand, but it's when we really let it sink in and affect our everyday that true transformation can happen.
I felt so much peace and rest coming out of this retreat, and I can't wait to continue this sweet journey in the weeks to come.
