Adventuring Week 18: Donuts, Donuts, Donuts

There are two kinds of people in the world: people who wait in long lines for grand openings, and people who don't. I've always been one of those who don't. But a few days ago, after a long day of work, I realized Krispy Kreme was having its grand opening in our city which is a big deal because 1) it's Krispy Kreme and 2) we haven't had a Krisy Kreme in our city for years, so everyone was looking forward to this.

So (because I am a true donut lover), I decided to go check it out on a whim. I mean, that is the whole point of these Adventures I've been doing all year: to be more open to doing fun, random things that get me a little out of my comfort zone. And that was definitely true for standing in a 2 hour long line for donuts! (yes, seriously, 2 hours!)

But it was pretty awesome anyway, even if I did have to survive it with a dead phone. I learned that waiting isn't the worst thing in the world like we sometimes think it is, and that Krispy Kreme donuts are just as delcious as I remembered. And I think that made it pretty worth it. Here's a few photos of my donut adventure:

Arguably the best (and most delicious) looking sign in the universe.

This is how the magic happens! I love that Krispy Kreme has glass walls so you can see it.

I mean, come on. Who could say no to these?

Just a few of their sellable goodies :)

See what I mean? So worth the long line.

The only thing wrong with this post is that it really made me want donuts again...
