Apps I Actually Love

Yes, this is another one of those app recommendation posts. But the difference is that I'm not a big user of apps so you can trust if I'm sharing these I really do love them ;) I didn't include any of the social media apps like Instagram or Snapchat because even though I do use them daily, everyone knows what they are. So these are some you may not have head of before.
I came across this app by accident but I'm so glad I did because it solved a problem I'd been having for awhile. One of my wekanesses is all those interesting articles floating around on Facebook. I click on them a lot more often than I should! But that creates a problem since I usually open them on a new tab to and then forget until I've got about 30 tabs open! This app has completely fixed that problem. When you find an article you'd like to read, all you need to do is hit the share button on your browser and press the Pocket icon, and it will be saved into the app for later viewing! Problem solved.
This is one of the only photo editing apps I use. It's basically meant to put text on photos but my favorite thing about it is that it comes pre-loaded with tons of cute word designs in categories like travel, inspiration, and love. If you don't want to use those on your images, they at least serve as great inspiration for your own text. I usually start off by using one of the pre-loaded phrases (they're called "sayings") and then change it around with my own text and design. I created the cover image for this post with this app!
Because we all need an app to just have fun with (and Candy Crush is just a tad too time consuming). Pigment is basically a coloring app for your phone. It comes pre-loaded with several cute pictures that you can color however you'd like and is very simple to use. Once you're done you can even download the photo and post to social media to brag about your coloring skills. And by the way, yes coloring when you're an adult is totally acceptable and still just as awesome! So feel free to color away. :)
I am one of those people that swear by "real" books. You know, the kind you can actually put a book jacket on and turn the pages of. And while I still refuse to ge a Nook or Kindle (never say never though, right?) I have found some advantages to the Kindle app. The main one is that Kindle books are pretty much always cheaper, so it's a great place to check out something you're not sure you want to invest $20 in yet. There are also a lot of free books on Kindle! P.S., if you sign up for BookBub you can get a daily email with free (or super cheap) Kindle books in topics you're interested in. And who can say no to free books?
Another app I found accidentally. To be honest, I'm not very good with organizational tools on my phone. I prefer physical planners and to-do lists (though I won't pretend I'm super great with those either ;). But this is one task management app that I do love, simply because it's also a motivational tool. Streaks basically lets you set up to 6 tasks that you want to complete daily- like working on your novel, or completing a workout plan- and then keeps track of your progress each week. It's a really cool way to help you form new habits. It does cost $4 on the app store, but I think it's worth it.
What are some of your favorite apps?
