Before I get into this post, here's a funny story: Last week I wrote out a bunch of blog posts early and actually scheduled them (yes, you read that right). Only thing missing was the photos (which I view as a necessity for my posts), but I figured I'd just add them in before I headed to LA. And what do you think happened...? I forgot, of course. My posts all went live without photos and I couldn't do anything about it while I was in LA! But oh well... we'll try the scheduling thing again next time ;)

Anyway, I wanted to share some of my photos from my trip because I loved it so much. Hope you enjoy them.

One of my favorite sights in the world: an airplane waiting for me to board. I really missed flying. As uncomfortable as it can be (trust me, I once took a 16 hour flight to Dubai...), I love it. Few things are as mesmerizing as seeing the world from above. I mean, just look at this:

I rest my case.

I wasn't sure quite what to expect from LA, but it was different than I'd imagined. It's such a diverse city (even more than Houston, and that says a lot). And then of course there's those mountains... I wouldn't mind a few of those here at all.

Of course we had to stop for In-N-Out. It wasn't my first time eating there, but it somehow tasted more amazing in its native city.

On our first day we spent some time at Universal Studios and look who I ran into!

Aren't they adorable?

But the real reason I went to LA was to check out the Dream Center with some of our Local Missions team from church. We all learned so much from this experience, and I'm so glad I got to do it with them. These people are some of the best!

And finally, here's a few other spots we got to check out...

Santa Monica Beach at sunset. The pictures don't do it justice.

We also made a quick stop by the Dodgers Stadium which is obviously lovely.

And we got a sneak peek at the Oscars red carpet the day before the show!

Then we checked out the iconic Walk of Fame of course...

Obviously I had a lot of fun in the City of Angels. But there was a lot more to this trip. I'll share on that later, though. :)

Hope you all had a good week too!
