The Greatest Book Haul of All Time

I'm not sure exactly what it is about the last couple of weeks, but I have been buying books like crazy. It's been great. Then I won a $50 Amazon gift card in a raffle last week so of course I had to spend it on more books. I also finally built the bookcase I bought several weeks ago, which means I now have the perfect spot to photograph all my lovely new books!

So for today's post, I'm sharing my May book haul... which might possibly be the greatest book haul of all time. ;)

Me Before You by Jojo Moyes

This is the only book from this haul that I've already read, and I discussed some of my thoughts on it in my last post. I definitely recommend picking it up at your local bookstore before going to watch the movie, which comes out in a couple weeks. Do prepare your tissues though, and set aside some free time to read it because you're not going to want to put it down when you start. I might do some book reviews later and discuss my thoughts on this novel in greater detail. For now, let's just say my opinions about it are complicated, but I did love the story.

Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers

This is a book I've been hearing about forever. It's essentially a retelling of the book of Hosea, and I've only heard amazing things about it. I'm excited to read it because I've always been a big fan of Christian allegorical fiction. Weaving in stories from the Bible is something I love to do in my own writing, so it'll be interesting to see how Francine Rivers does it in this novel. Will definitely be sharing my thoughts on this book in the near future!

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

Another book I've heard about for awhile that honestly I would've probably not bought had it not been for the fact that I had a gift card and it was super, super cheap on Amazon. It is a fantasy YA book, which is the genre I write in, so I thought I might as well check it out. I honestly don't know what to expect, but I guess we'll see!

Wild and Free by Jess Connolly & Hayley Morgan

I had never heard of this book until I came across it on Amazon, but the reviews were great and the summary sounded amazing, so i decided to add it to the haul. I still need to read a Christian nonfiction book for the month of May, so this is more than likely going to be it. Really excited to get into it, and I'll let you all know my thoughts on it later.

To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han

Another YA book I've heard a lot about, which was also super cheap (thanks Amazon). This is in the realistic YA fiction genre, and I'm also not really sure what to expect from it. It looks entertaining though, so hopefully I will be pleasantly surprised. :)

Robin Hood Marketing by Katya Andresen

Time for my nerdy - I mean nonfiction book of this post. I love all things nonprofit, and I especially love when business and nonprofit come together. The reason I majored in business is essentially in the title of this book. I think nonprofits can be incredibly effective when they learn marketing secrets from successful corporations. This book is exactly about that, so I knew I had to buy it when I came across it. It'll probably be a much slower read than the other books in this haul, but I know it'll be exciting because I love the subject.

Alright that's it for my May book haul! For now, anyway ;). Have you read any of these books? If so, tell me what you thought about them (though no spoilers, please)!
