Hey everyone. So, I'm finally back from my blogging break. You know, the one I never told you guys I was taking... I've been dealing with some health stuff for the past few weeks, and as much as I love blogging, I needed to take some time off to just rest. The health stuff is nothing major, just some anxiety not caused by caffeine (which is usually how I get anxiety). I figured out the reason for it was how busy and even stressed I've been lately. So time off to relax was the obvious solution.

I'm excited to get back into the swing of blogging now, though. I'm still not sure if I'll be posting as regularly as I normally do in the next few weeks, but we'll just have to see. :)

For today's post, I wanted to do a sort of re-introduction for any new followers to this blog. Yesterday marked exactly one month until my 24th birthday, so in honor of that I thought I'd share 23 facts about me, since I'm heading into my last month of ever being 23.

1. I've lived in Texas my whole life, but no I don't get around on a horse. I went to high school right next to a little farm with a bunch of horses so I can't really fight the stereotype too much haha.

2. I majored in business in college because I want to have my own nonprofit someday. I never had any intention of going into the corporate world, which made career fairs a little weird for me.

3. Scary movies, thrillers and even some action movies sometimes stress me out so much that I usually just avoid those genres altogether.

4. I used to play the violin in middle school and I was no pro, but it was so fun and I definitely miss it.

5. I have a mild peanut allergy, meaning I'm usually fine when I eat them but once I ate too many and had a terrible reaction.

6. Being out in beautiful nature scenery is one of my favorite things in the world which is why I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with my very industrialized city and am so ready to move to Colorado, or something.

7. Since I can't drink real coffee, my choice drink is tapioca tea. I'm kind of obsessed!

8. The next place I'm dying to visit is London.

9. I've always been a quiet person, not because I don't have anything to say but because listening and observing is more my natural state. The downside of it is that I think people assume more wrong things about you when you're quiet. Still, I'm okay with being who I am. Obviously, I get all my opinions and expression out through writing. :)

10. I would love to live in a third world country someday working for a nonprofit or church.

11. Avril Lavigne was my favorite singer back in middle school (before she turned all pink and pop) and I knew every word to all of her songs. I probably still do, actually.

12. I fell in love with the 2015 live action Cinderella movie, even though she wasn't one of my favorite princesses as a kid.

13. Speaking of Disney, my favorite princess is Pocahontas because she's a free-spirited and courageous dreamer (and possibly an INFP).

14. Personality wise, I think one of the most attractive things in a guy is genuine kindness.

15. The Fray has been my favorite band since I was 14. The lead singer's voice, their flawless use of piano and those amazing poetic lyrics have no rival, in my opinion.

16. Soccer is the only sport I enjoy playing and watching. I might have been born in Texas, but the world's most famous sport is in my blood.

17. I wrote my first book in the first grade. It was a picture book about a girl looking for a friend, and my teacher had me read it to the kindergarten class below me.

18. My mom was a doctor, and now both of my sisters are on their way to also become doctors. For someone who's perfectly fine with leaving science behind in high school, I hear way too much about it...

19. If there's ravioli or enchiladas on the menu, I'm probably going to order one of them.

20. Being a volunteer at my church has shaped me in so many ways. I wouldn't be where I am if I hadn't learned so much from leaders and ministries there.

21. My favorite book of all time is Jane Eyre.

22. I once slept in a cabin in Kenya on an island that had mosquito nets, live mice and bats. It was awesome.

23. And finally, my favorite snapchat filter? The one that turns you into Bambi, of course.

Thanks for reading, see you all soon! :)
