Of course we had to end our trip to Walt Disney World with the most iconic of all parks (you can view my Epcot recap here and Animal Kingdom here). After taking another rest day on Thursday (guess what though? It was barely a rest day yet again, because we walked a ton at Disney Springs again), we headed to the original happiest place on earth. Did my feet hurt from all the walking, and was it ridiculously hot and crowded? Yes. But of course, it was worth it.

Magic Kingdom was the only park we didn't really approach with a strategy (aside for our FastPasses), I think because we were all too tired at this point haha. And also because we were too busy looking forward to our morning adventure: breakfast at the Be Our Guest restaurant. We got to the park right on time (and actually ended up being a little late for reservations because we were confused about where to go lol) and headed to the Beast's lovely palace in Fantasyland. Just like the photos I'd seen of the castle, it was absolutely beautiful. It's definitely worth eating there at least once. But I am glad we chose breakfast, which is a cheaper meal ($25 for a very good amount of food).

the main dining room is a perfect replica of the Beast's ballroom
After breakfast, we sort of just wandered around Fantasyland. Our first FastPass was for Ariel's Under the Sea, which I thought was very cute and traditional, as it basically goes through the whole Little Mermaid story. Then we got on the teacups (how could we not) and spontaneously met Alice. Afterwards, we waited in line for almost an hour for Winnie the Pooh! I think his meet and greet line might have been so long because that same day, the Christopher Robin movie came out. Definitely worth it, but this was actually the longest wait I had during our entire trip.

Honestly, the rest of the day is kind of a blur. The thing about Magic Kingdom is that it is really crowded, and it's absolutely impossible to see everything! However, I did find waiting for the Festival of Fantasy parade in the hot sun to be so worth it. It's moments like those that really make you feel like a kid again. Prepare for a photo overload because I just have to share them all. :)

Beauty and the Beast were the first float of the parade.

Anna and Elsa were obviously a big hit. You could hear all the kids cheer when they appeared lol

My vote for cutest couple, after Mickey and Minnie, of course. ;)
We mostly wandered around for the rest of the day, making our way through Frontierland, Fantasyland (again), Liberty Square and Adventureland. We had a FastPass for Seven Dwarves Mine Train late in the day, since that FastPass is pretty much the most popular. That ride is very entertaining (especially the part in the middle, which I thought was so cute!), but honestly, if you're a roller coaster person, use your FastPasses on Big Thunder Mountain or Space Mountain instead.
One ride that I actually ended up surprisingly loving was the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. I think I didn't expect much because the line wasn't very long, and I had actually gotten on this ride last time we went to MK. But it was more fun than I had remembered.
As for photo-ops, some of my favorite spots were in front of the Castle (of course), pretty much all the Fantasyland castles, and the Tangled restrooms!

Disneybounding as Belle in Fantasyland. And yes I bought that book of the Beast just for the photo.

We ended the day by watching the fireworks shows, of course, though I would say if this is a priority for you, make sure to get in place well before, because it gets so crowded in front of the castle as it starts.

And that was the end to our magical vacation. :) I did like Magic Kingdom a lot, but I definitely underestimated how crowded it was going to be. For that reason, I think I'd prefer to go to that park during the off season.
if you have any tips for future Disney World travelers (or for when I inevitably go back), please leave them below! Also, let me know what is your favorite park and why. I love hearing people's reasons for why they love the parks.
